How Does Your Garden Grow?
Wednesday, October 11th, 2006Are you anxious to hear about the progress of my garden of eatin’? Ohhhh, forgive me for that one. It’s coming along nicely. I’ve been getting up at 6 and working for an hour every morning. 6 is a good time because there’s lots of water pressure ( water pressure dwindles and then shuts off at 8 ), it’s cool, and I can work in a skirt and tank top since no one is up to see my wanton display of shoulders. I got Limnaya’s nephew to bring me good, dry manure, and I spent this morning fertilizing my beds. Honestly, I’ll be kind of amazed if something actually grows because the soil is pure Sahara sand. Now the task is to water and cultivate the soil for three days. Planting is tentatively scheduled for Friday. I love having something that needs tending. You may recall how much love was lavished on my Bol bean plant. Now I have five whole seed beds and two melon hills to love!
